40's!!!

It was 40 F. this morning!!!
I got up at 7:00 to walk our doggies up to their field and had to wear a coat!
When I came back inside I was literally shivering. I haven't felt that cold since last Fall. And last night while watching a movie with Jake and Mom we were actually forced to use blankets. It is getting pretty cold out there...
Leaves have just begun to turn color and fall from the trees. There's still TONS of green but it's getting there.
Pretty soon it'll be in the 30's and snow while start pourin' down! (I'm not ready for that yet. lol)
The scary thing is...we're having a camp out in our yard with some of our friends next month (Oct. 1-2). No, sleeping out in the freezing cold doesn't worry me...I'll have tons of blankets. It's getting up in the morning that scares me stiff! (You know how totally icy it is on early Autumn mornings!!!)

Anyhoo...I guess I forgot to tell you all that my BFF, Callie M. is moving back from Washington State! She left on Tuesday and will be here by Saturday morning.
I'm SOOO excited! I haven't seen her face-to-face for 3 years! (I'm sure you can imagine what it would be like to have your best friend move across the country, live there for that long, and then unexpectedly come back to you!!! XD)
We'll freeze out the cold together! LOL
