My Autumn

Well I'm done with school now.
(YIKES 0_0)
Autumn is just around the corner and I was getting pretty excited about applying for a job somewheres, until I found out that I'm sick.
I have Mononucleosis. (MONO). The symptoms are extreme fatigue, sore limbs/muscles, headaches, loss of appetite, fever and a few other things.
Mono is basically just a viral infection caught most commonly from other's saliva (the kissing disease). That's what I get for sharing water bottles on the "Religious Freedom Walk 2012" ...."rolls eyes".
I have to  bedrest for about 2 weeks until the symptoms die down. I won't be fully recovered for 1-2 months and even then, like Lymes Disease, Mono never4 completely leaves your system.
Gonna try to get better soon, but until then my Autumn is pretty much on hold.

A couple more weeks of school before I graduate.......geez oh man. Where did time go??
I'm really excited....gonna be so cool to wake up in the morning and NOT have to get out of bed. Haha

Religious Freedom

 Our walk for religious freedom from Hancock Maryland Catholic Church (St. Peter's) to the Baltimore Shrine (100 miles) was a fantastically painful week. Haha
We passed so many beautiful sites and got our hands dirty in God's awesome creation every step of the way.
Met tons of new people. Made many new friends. Was on live TV and got interviewed many times as well (yikes. lol)
It only rained once fore about 10 minutes during the entire pilgrimage. The sun was constantly shining (not to mention burning everyone's skin until we looked like apples.... ;)
It was in the high 80's and mid 90's most all week....but a breeze was blowing sometimes to keep us from sizzling too badly.
Handing out rosaries, cards, food and drinks to random strangers as we walked professing our beliefs for Religious Freedom made the walk extra interesting. We received lots of waves and cheers from cars and passerby'....but surprisingly not many negative comments came our way (until we reached Baltimore......a bit worse in that area.)
We camped out at Fort Frederick the first night and slept at generous church rectories the rest of the nights. Everyone was so supportive and hospitable. Such happy folks. :)

All-in-all...I'm really glad I went.
I always felt kinda' useless when it came ti politics or matters of protest but now that I had the chance to get out there and be physically as well as mentally active...I feel like we can all make a difference.
Thanks to everyone who wished us luck and prayed on us...both made it a lot easier, knowing that we were supported in our cause from all around the world.

Time gone by......

 My 17th, birthday was yesterday..
when did all that time go by??! (lol)
I remember when I was 7...dreaming about being a 'teen/big-kid" and wanting to grow up asap.
Now I wake up and wish I was younger again. Ironic. Ik. Haha
Now all those memories of playing at the park and dressing dolls for a tea-party come flooding back as I start to realize just how close I am to actual/(legal) adulthood..............SCARY thought. lol ;D
Anyhoo...I think I'm ready for this. Graduating will be exciting and getting a job should be fun a  well as boost my confidence "that" much higher. :)
Look out world, here I come (holding my breath all the way. ;P lol)

HOT!

It was 100 degrees the other day! (And then we had a HUGE storm which cut our power and left everything SERIOUSLY wet. Lol). It's supposed to be in the 90's all week, too. Pray I won't melt....and if i do....promise to scoop me up in a bucket and mold me back together again. ;P;P;P lol

Pool, Sun, Doggies and School :D:D:D:P

Jake and I are going swimming tomorrow at Hancock pool! We haven't gone yet...although we normally go on Memorial Day, but the pool opened late this year. Hmmm. :( (lol)
It's 85' degrees today. I've been waiting for things to heat up. :):):) It was actually so warm out we had to bring our dogs it before they passed out in the sun. Haha!
Anyhoo, I started 12th grade up again today, as I took a 2-3 week break from it for some "sorting-out" time. I'll probably graduate this August, if everything keeps going as smoothly as it is now. (Sooooo excited! Lol ;)

So...

So, my life has been very interesting these past few weeks.
I got a facebook, went to Pittsburgh, attended a wedding, got my 11th grade portfolio ready for reviewing, figured out that I'll be graduating in late July/early August if I go with my home-work plan, made two new friends, discovered new dreams, and spilled jelly on my foot...
Haha.....yyyyyep. Quite the week, it was. LOL ;)

Just thinking...what idiot thought this up...much less decided to test it ("com'meer, Bingo! You won't feel a thing...once you hit bottom...") ?????????????????????

It's so bazaar and demented...risky too. I mean just think how many people did this and discovered half way through they had bad hip joints!?......
Think about how many dumbos chose to try this contraption alone and forgot to hook on a certain strap here, or hook there...
And how many poor, innocent puppies have been the victims of this sport when their owner was too chicken to jump themselves???!!!!
This is a dangerous and pointless sport...if it can even be called that. A "sport"? HA! A sentence!
 How can you sleep at night, Mr./Mrs. Whoeveryouare? Knowing that you invented such a frightening and (sometimes, I'm sure) deadly activity?!

...............................I'm SO going to do it.

...............................I'm going bungee jumping for my 99th birthday :)

On the Pavement

So today was my first time driving on the road. "BIG Smiley-face" :D
It was WAY easier than I expected. Just need to get the hang of slowing my turns down.
Anyhoo...will someone please tell me why back roads have no yellow (or even white) lines? It was kinda' difficult, especially in our ginormous van, for me to judge how far to the shoulder I should drive with no lines to guide me...................ah, those stupid blind bends.......Lol ;)
To bring you all up-to-date on my interesting life (lol), school has been going very smoothly. I'm on week 13 in 12th grade, now. Yippee-Yahoo. LOL
The weather is back to normal (praise the Lord...) and the trees are filled to the brim with green. I love Spring. :)
I find myself craving a day at the beach. I love the beach. I love swimming in general but sunshine, sand, and waves just fit so well together. Sea-gull poop? Not so much....but the other three are to my taste :)

WTH??!!

We had a blizzard this mornin'.
WHAT THE HECK???!!!!
I'm not joking...a one hour of non-stop, can't-even-see-through, huge, wet, snowflake BLIZZARD. I thought I was dreaming when I got up from bed and looked out my window only to see an icy coating of snow over the pane. Can anyone out there tell me why this is happening? Any soothsayers? Magicians? Palm readers? If there are some of you reading this, I have to say that this is as unnatural and confusing as you are! Not to mention it makes me down right upset. I don't particularly "enjoy" cold weather and I was just getting excited about the coming of Summer. My favorite season :)

Candy, Flowers and Bunnies

Easter is just three days away! HURRAY!
I think Easter is my most favorite Holiday besides Thanksgiving...I just enjoy the feeling of going outside, smelling the flowers and realizing that my soul was saved, and Christ rose to victory on that day. Jesus rises from the tomb...walks out completely alive...ALL RIGHT!
(Honestly...I don't know why some/most people think that we Catholics are so boring and obsessed with seriousness all the time. My faith is amazingly cool! Jesus? On the Altar? For me????? AWESOME!!!! Go God! ;)
Anyway, along with the real meaning (that most Holidays seem to have the habit of possessing) of Easter...there's the bunnies. Cute little fluffy things that seem to have found their way into a Holiday which celebrates Christ's rise from the grave....I don't know exactly how...but they did. And who decided that the things should be presented in different colors? Blue, pink and purple? Where have you seen a bunny like that??? Tell me because I want to see this too! I'd make millions! (I think they're cute, though. Seriously...anything fluffy goes for me :):):):):):)

My Mom and I have watched a full length movie on this same subject, but this specific one was no less heart-rending for me.

We live our lives, every day, the same as we have always done...we wake up, eat breakfast, do our schoolwork, and complete everything else that's scheduled into our lives...and we have no idea about the horrors that other nations, other people, are going through day after day...year after year....or...we just don't care.

This movie can make people care. It can force them to go outside their own comfortable everyday lives and give something back to the rest of the world; a world that needs every prayer and every form of support that we are able to give. 

When I watched this video myself, I was moved in several ways...

one...I was stabbed with sadness. 

two...I was filled with anger

three...I immediately wanted to help in any way I could

I felt sorry for, not only the children and families of this horror-stricken country...but also for Joseph Kony, the man striking this horror. What entered his heart and made it so heartless? How awful was his own childhood that he would grow up to be the #1 most wanted criminal in our nation?

What about these children? They must hopelessly wonder day and night what kind of life would be so pointlessly hateful that they can't even go to sleep and have the common assurance that they will actually wake up in the morning...or that one of their siblings won't be missing...or that their parents will still be physically intact. They must wonder what kind of God would exist and let this happen to them for over 20 years...  

These people need help. If one evil man, a man such as Joseph Kony, can make this huge of a indescribable difference all over his country...then thousands of Americans today...and people all over the world...can make a difference too.

We can stop him...YOU can stop Joseph Kony.
